Google will be announcing investments in green cars this summer through it's plug-in hybrid program, RechargeIT. This will add to Google.org's cleantech portfolio which already includes eSolar and Makani, which Google.org invested in through it's RE Less Than C program. A friendly chat by Dan Reicher, Director of Energy Initiatives has revealed that Google thinks plug-ins is going to be a big deal in the coming future, its no surprises that Google is heading the green car way since its well known to sense the wind of the new wave well before many even know where to look.
