GE has come out with the awesome InelliCorder (is that Intelligent-Camcorder?). something that can act as a third eye for you, fixed at your peephole to see who does what outside your door, window or wherever you wish to survey (or eavesdrop). Something really good about this device is that it has a motion sensor that triggers the functioning of the camera only if there is some motion detected. Makes sense, else we would be wasting memory shooting a sleeping dog. The videos shot by the camera is then stored in the internal memory or an SD card. This can be viewed later on as many times as one may wish to. The videos can also be carted to another storage media.

The problem with this system is that it costs too much to beat its contemporaries (who are humongous in number). At $300, the GE IntelliCorder costs more that a similar system that’s solar powered and is wireless too!
