Going a bit retro and aping the cassette player style, Fusion Electronics' CA-IP500 iPod Receiver takes in the iPod in the same old fashioned way as a car deck takes in a cassette. Masked behind the faceplate, the iPod fits snug, but this iteration has made makers compromise with the CD player and completely ignore it. The OLED screen hosts the playlist and the dual-function rotary knob/joystick functions as a click-wheel to help navigate the system. The system is compatible with the iPod Classic (fifth-generation and sixth-generation), the iPod Touch, and the iPod Nano (second-generation and third-generation).
