The two new notebooks launched by Fujitsu Siemens at IFA are the AMILO Xi 2428 and 2528. Especially designed for video telephony, chat, digital films and MP3 sound files, the notebooks feature related specs. The AMILO Xi 2428 is the smaller one of the two. It features a 15.4-inch screen, Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to T7700, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics with 256MB dedicated Video RAM, 2MB of memory, up to 250GB of storage, integrated camera, loudspeakers and microphone and a wide range of connectivity, including HDMI, 3x USB and a five-in-one card reader plus it weighs just 3kg. On the other hand, the AMILO Xi 2528 has a 17-inch screen Intel Centrino Duo and an Intel Core 2 Duo chip, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics, 2GB memory, an option of two RAID hard disks, integrated camera, loudspeakers with subwoofer and microphone and the same connectivity as the 2428.and comes in at 4kg.

Fujitsu Siemens’ AMILO Xi 2428 and 2528 notebooks will be out by Christmas.
Both notebooks retail between £699 and £1449, depending on configuration.
