Fujitsu N7010 comes with a tiny second screen to multitask media

Fujitsu.JPG The Fujitsu N7010 is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, which runs at a core speed of 2.4GHz, up to 4GB of memory, a large-capacity 320GB disk, and an ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics solution, which also comes with 256MB of memory. The system is equipped with a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI output, four USB ports, Firewire, wireless 802.11 b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, eSATA, ExpressCard5/4, fingerprint scanner and a multi-touch touchpad. It comes with a secondary display called “Touch Zone” which could be viewed as a gimmick or as a realistic productivity enhancement. The “Touch Zone” is a 4-inch touchscreen embedded above the notebook’s keyboard; it offers users a 480 by 272 pixels secondary display for IM chats, toolbars or media.

This means users can pretty much drag anything across. Transport controls are overlaid over media and image slideshows, and are of finger-friendly size. The laptop features just one-hour battery life, and a price of $1500.
