SMS spam may be the only hope for some losers (who never receive a call or message from anyone) to peek into their phones. However, this pitiful company may not last long since a new bit of legislation may cause the Senate to ban SMS spam for good. The good news for those who aren’t in the loser category is that this will surely lead to a huge drop in the amount of garbage that spammers fire into our phones. This finally puts to rest the incapability of the CAN-SPAM Act, 2003, which banned the sending of emails to phone. I cannot really judge as to how effective this move may be, since most of the spam senders are way advanced technologically than we are. They always end up finding means to get past security barriers.
