Fearless Felix to attempt 120,000 feet jump at 690 miles per hour
There isn’t much to be said after you read a headline this catchy. But hey, we’re not trying to grab your attention here. The very well renowned skydiver, Felix Baumgartner, a. k. a. Fearless Felix is about to attempt a jump from a helium balloon, about 120,000 feet jump at the speed of 690 miles per hour and would open his parachute only 23 miles away from the surface of his home planet.
The main highlights of the jump include FF beating the speed of sound by some measure and a very co-operative hand from three dozen ex-NASA players. Now that’s something that can give his feat real credibility. What’s more is that he may well break a 50 year old record set earlier for altitude.
