Exploding CD at 35000 RPM

A few months back I was burning an audio CD on some cheap CD-R and all of a sudden I heard a loud noise, it was the sound of the CD-R bursting in the drive. I opened the drive manually by inserting the pin and found pieces of the shattered disc. At 52X the disc could not handle the pressure at 30,000 revolutions per minute, lucky for me the tray did not come out flying along with parts of the disc. The above video will give an idea of what happens inside a CD-ROM drive as this dude places a CD on the end of a Dremel tool. Needless to say don't try this at home.
