ESPN Intros The Ultimate Remote Featuring WiFi
The Ultimate Remote by ESPN is developed by tvCompass. It features a 2.2-inch QVGA LCD screen, 802.11 b/g WiFi and weighs 6.5 oz. It's been designed to keep up to date on sports without interrupting a show. Apparently no PC is required for setup and it recharges via USB. Via the WiFi one can access ESPN's scores, fantasy leagues, and other components of the website directly from the controls built into the controller. It also converts into a programmable universal remote that both receives pre-made codes over Wi-Fi and can learn macros by hand. You can access TV programming guides, weather and other non-sports data, as it serves as a basic web browser as well. the device also features a messaging feature for texting from remote to remote, email, or to a cellphone.
No definite release date is announced for The Ultimate Remote by ESPN, though the device is available for pre-order from Amazon for $300.
