Everyone is entitled to an opinion and it is not necessary that the rest should conform to it. The president of Epic Games has an opinion that he shared with gaming publication IGN.com and I totally beg to differ. I won't bore you with the details but in short Mr. Mike Capps feels that Wii is a boring game that is meant for happy family reunions and after the initial novelty of the concept wears out, you're back to your PS3 and Xbox. And just because Wii is a passing "fad", his company won't be coming out with any titles for the console. I am all for being biased towards a particular gaming console but you simply can't rubbish the Wii as a passing fad! For every die-hard Xbox-er or PS-addict I can find you counter addicts of the Wii. No doubt the Wii offers you a different UI but that's the beauty of the game. The titles out on it are equally entertaining but just because I don't have hard numbers on my side, I'm not going to bow down and let my fav console down. My point is that can't deride a revolutionary concept such as Wii be categorized as something that just has to be bought because it's in fashion. Heck those 70's bell-bottoms and hippie clothes coming back in fashion, is a passing fad, not the Wii.
