ElectraTherm Green Machine recycles industrial waste heat as its "fuel"

electratherm_green_machine.jpg A 50-kilowatt ElectraTherm Green Machine was recently installed and apparently it uses industrial waste heat as its "fuel". The unit saves you enough money, that in 3-4 years time you are able to recover the installation costs. Electricity costs you about three or four cents per kilowatt-hour during those 3-4 years. An organic Rankine cycle is used to heat liquids that are then transformed into a vapor, which in turn will move the turbine to generate electricity. The ElectraTherm Green Machine is capable of powering up to 40 homes simultaneously.
