Elecom Japan has announced the AVD-CHLA5BK and AVD-CHLANN2BK iPod stands for car. The AVD-CHLA5BK works with iPod Video and Mini whereas the AVD-CHLANN2BK works with Nano. The stands make use of the cup holder and are made of polyurethane covered with soft leather which give a rich look to it. The stand is firmly locked using a sticky cartridge however it is not practical as you cant remove the stand once in place. Once the iPod is placed in the stand the controls and dock connector can be easily accessed.

The Elecom iPod stands will go on sale in Japan by end of May for 2500 Yen ($20).
