EA to soon unveil the EA Sports Active line of fitness games for the Wii

Wii play.JPG The Electronic Arts is all set to launch EA Sports Active exercise package. It is being promoted by two newly released trailers featuring celebrity fitness expert Bob Greene, reports VG247. The videos suggest a more serious health improvement package than the chart-topping Wii Fit, as EA's Peter Moore has already suggested. While EA Sports Active is being presented as ideal for families and friends trying to get healthy together, the training it also focuses on cardio workouts and strength improvement challenges that are bound to please more dedicated fitness fans. Unlike Wii Fit, EA's forthcoming exercise software also comes with a specially designed leg strap which houses the Nunchuck while the Wiimote is held in the hand, meaning the package can be track upper and lower body movement with a degree of accuracy.

EA is surely going overboard by adding an ‘as seen on Oprah‘ tag to the presenter’s introduction. The title is expected to cost you around $60 after paying for the Wii-Fit and not to forget the added nunchucks needed which would add to the final costs.
