Dynamic Ground kinetic floor is technology interaction for your feet

dynamic_ground.jpg In the step towards progress, and I mean that in a very literal sense, a system called Dynamic Ground, that works on sensors, a motor and kinetics, was demoed by it’s developers Lassy and Adi Marom for NYU's ITP Winter Show. It’s an interesting concept that showcased how interactive floors can be (????). What looks like flower shaped design floating on water are actually sensor operated to detect pressure applied to the surface. When the light senor detects something on top it either contracts to a more compact design or expands. It all depends on what the initial design was before jumping on. It’s a unique concept, no doubt and could make for very interesting garden setting.
