Dynamic Eye’s new LCD sunglasses are seriously advanced but still a way off from production

I’ve always wanted a pair of sunglasses that would eliminate glare but still offer me optimized vision, you know without the whole lens going black like it is with photochromic lenses. This is the best part about living in the 21st century, someone will always have the same want and someone will almost always find a way to get the job done, like Dynamic Eye. They’ve only recently completed the technology verification testing stage of its electronically controlled glare reduction sunglasses. These glares have LCD lenses with active glare control that use sensors and miniaturized electronics to darken only a small spot on each lens instead of the entire lens, so glare sources are dimmed dramatically, while everything else can be seen easily. That’s just awesome. But in order to get the manufacturing process rolling they’re going to need a little more capital so they’re requesting monetary pledges at Kickstarter.com which is an online threshold pledge system for funding creative projects. Top pledge levels are essentially preordering the first pairs of LCD sunglasses off the assembly line at a discounted price. That’s where I’m headed.
