The Wii does get DVD playback and powering it will be CinePlayer CE DVD Navigator from Sonic solutions however the Nintendo will be releasing the DVD version in the latter half of 2007. Nintendo has not announced the release date for the DVD playing Wii but who will want DVD playback when you have HD-DVD or Blu-ray. The Wii goes on sale this Sunday November 19th.
