Draganflyer X6 – A personal stealth drone

draganfly_x6_1.jpg Draganfly Innovations has released an industrial-grade miniature remote control helicopter with a camera mount for all-access inspection. The Draganflyer X6 is said to be easy to fly, and can operate autonomously. It has six main horizontal rotor blades, allowing it to hover and maneuver rapidly using differential thrust. The X6 is said to be a better alternative to custom model aircraft with cameras rigged on. The X6 can fly even if one of its six engines fails. Moreover, if that should happen, it will automatically make its way to the earth safely in order to protect your gear. The engines are also powerful enough to withstand a decent 18 mph crosswind. Charging takes about 30 minutes and you will get a maximum flight time of 25 minutes from that, as long as you're not performing too many aerial stunt displays. The whole gadget even folds up to fit inside a small 68cm carry tube. The helicopter is suited for reconnaissance and inspection using on-board wireless video and still cameras. It can fly autonomously or be flown manually using a remote control.

The Draganfly X6 is said to cost around $15,000, it has three gyroscopes, three accelerometers, three magnetometers, one barometric pressure sensor and one GPS receiver on board, and automatically calculates its orientation and motion for smooth movement.
