DoCoMo cellphones to offer office security system via RFID
DoCoMo is gearing up to offer cellphone loaded RFID chips, this will enable the users to unlock doors, access PCs and other networked peripherals, clock in and out each day, pay for things in the canteen and avail other facilities hooked up with an IC reader. It is called the Kaismart; Osaifu-Keitai phones or FeliCa RFID cards. This will be the instance where such cards will be used commercially. It will be available from the 8th of February in Japan.
