Dell Adamo to blow the Air out of Apple by including a Blu-Ray drive

adamo-blu-ray.jpg A number of speculations have been made on the supposed technical specifications of Dell's upcoming portable computer system, called Adamo. The Round Rock, Texas-based company is now expected to unveil the laptop as early as 2009, most likely at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will take place after Apple's highly anticipated Macworld Expo in 2009. One of the key features of the upcoming Dell Adamo laptop is its support for a built-in optical drive. What is probably even more interesting is that the Adamo is actually expected to come out with a Blu-ray device. The laptop will feature a DisplayPort for video and eSATA connectors for additional storage.

The Dell Adamo will be launching at a price tag close to $1500, which is a good $300 better than what you currently need to pay for Apple's cheapest MacBook Air.
