Creative unveils Zen V and V Plus the Nano killers

zen.jpgThe Zen V range of Flash memory based DAP from Creative will be available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities. The compact player features a crisp 1.5 inch OLED display and is small enough to tuck away perfectly inside the coin pocket of your jeans. The Zen V and V Plus share the same features except for the V Plus which includes FM Radio and video playback. The players support leading supports music subscription services like Yahoo! Music Unlimited, Urge, Napster To Go, and Rhapsody To Go. Other features include Voice recording, Line in recording, sync with Microsoft Outlook, and learning from Apple's mistake it features a special coating on the entire player to help prevent scratching.


The Zen V and V Plus will be available in several combinations of black or white highlighted by either green, orange, or blue accents. The V Plus supports MP3, WAV, WMA, Audible, MPEG-4, WMV and DivX the last two which even the iPod Video does not support. With a 15 hour battery life you do not need to worry about recharging. The V will be available in July for $120, $150, or $200, depending on capacity, while the V Plus will be coming in August and priced at $130, $170, and $230 for the 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB versions, respectively.
