Creative have come out with a really cool high definition web camera that will help you film yourself at a mighty 30fps and at 1280x729 resolution. The one reason the person on the other end of the chat may not get the full pleasure of HD videos is because of low bandwidth that may not suffice this quality of video stream required to transmit the niceness across. The USB camera also has avatar/voice morphing software bundled with it. However, the disadvantages are too many to be forgiven and include fixed focus lens, a mono microphone and poor quality plastic used on the body.

The Creative Live! HD web camera may lose out against the HD camera that Microsoft offered recently. Maybe it will do better in pricing, or so, I hope.
