For the cops who have to patrol those nasty streets that have knife wielding sickos, a new weapon against crime has been launched. If you’re thinking it’s something as futuristic as a gun-in-his leg, helmet wearing Robocop, it’s not all that hi-tech. What these guys have is a metal detecting glove, well more like a strap. The device called the e-Glove is designed to be discreet, I’m not sure why, if a guy’s carrying a knife under his jacket I’m not sure I’d want to try and surprise him. However, it doe give the wearer a certain edge, they just have to have a great poker face. It’s priced at 100 Pounds which is $153 (USD). When it detects any metal on the person, the glove silently vibrates. The first officers to get to try this ‘handy’ device are the brave officers from Leicestershire’s Police Station in the UK. It’s going to soon be handed out to policeman all over the UK.
