Cool glacier music played on ice records, very cool indeed

James Bond fans will remember the Ice hotel In Die another Day where the entire hotel was sculpted out of Ice and these exist in the real world too just in case you’re wondering. They aren’t simply art forms but completely useable for the public as well. In light of this kind of art, artist Katie Paterson, has done something quite remarkable with this type of a concept and actually made recordings of 3 glaciers (Langjökull, Snæfellsjökull and Solheimajökull) of Iceland which she then pressed into three records that were cast and frozen with the same melt water from each of the glaciers themselves. The records were played on three separate turntables and played non-stop till they melted away completely. The process took 2 hours. Talk about cool music.
