Smart-e-bear, smart-e-dog and smart-e-cat will be the number-one purchase in the 2008 Christmas shopping list, or so claim Kids Preferred. They have teamed up with Intellitoys and come out with cuddly toys in the form of a bear, dog and cat that are intelligent and are fitted with a software that makes them interactive. The technology used is very parent-friendly so that the toy can be easily updated and can be customized as well. The toys are designed for pre-readers and early readers aged 3-6. the children will be exposed to thousands of award-winning songs, interactive stories, educational games and other content that parents (and grandparents) can selectively purchase through the Internet and download (99 cents/download) to the toy with a super-easy USB connection. Each of the toy measures 13" and does not have any movable breakable parts.

Here is a sample of what you can expect the e-toys to say:
"Would you like to sing songs about animals with me?" purrs smart-e-cat. "For yes, squeeze my hand. For no, squeeze my foot."
"I do different kinds of play for different times of day," woofs smart-e-dog. "I can be an active daytime friend with dancing, songs and exciting lessons or a bedtime buddy with lullabies and quiet stories. You can even customize me for special occasions like birthdays and holidays."
Smart-e-bear and friends will be priced between $79 to $89 each.
