Concept design of Nokia X9 looks quite slick, it’s got everything but the kitchen sink

I love a good concept design for a possible mobile handset and there have been many many many that have come forth since the dawn of the mobile empire. It’s sad that only a few have actually been acknowledged by the various companies who have actually put concept designs on the market place for sale. Here’s another concept design that I’m hoping makes it to Nokia’s drawing board. The handset dubbed the X9 will succeed the X6. The designers have decided that this handset would include state of the art specs like a 1GHz Cortex A8 chipset, 12-megapixel camera with LED flash, HDMI video output and a 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. In addition to all this the ‘X9’ would also incorporate WiFi, aGPS, 3G and come loaded with 32 Gigs of on board memory.

If that’s not enough, the device would also be infused with Nokia’s Symbian^4 OS and corresponding UI to make things interesting. It’ll be the whole package, multimedia and social networking. The depicted design form looks a bit on the thick side in which case I would have thrown in a slide out QWERTY. Nevertheless it doesn’t stop me from wanting this handset to make it to reality.
