Citizen Japan has announced the TW600 which is the thinnest pedometer in the world. The TW600 is 10mm thick and comes with a 3D accelerometer. There is no need to tie the pedometer to your wrist just put it in your bag or pocket and the 3D accelerometer will do its work. It calculates the number of steps, calories burnt, average speed, distance traveled, etc it stores data for upto 7 days which can be recalled anytime. The unit is powered by a button cell it measures 73×31×10mm and weighs 25 grams. It will be available in Japan in six colors from March 6 for 4500 Yen ($ 42).
