CaroNavi from iRiver makes an appearance
Days of asking for directions are long over, because we have trusty gadgets like navigators to clue us in about the locations. I know many have ended up at dead ends and ditches, but is it really the device's fault? Moving on, joining the navi-bandwagon is the CaroNavi from iRiver. This is a device boasting of a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen featuring 320x240 resolution. It also features a built-in 2GB of flash memory that stores MAPLUS software from Edia and an SD card slot for expansion. Files supported include WMV, MP3, WMA and OGG.
An interesting feature of the iRiver CaroNavi is that hosts a pedestrian mode and can be used on motorcycles as well. Users get access to 800 million phone numbers in the points of interest database. It plugs into the 12V slot in cars to juice up and will be out in Japan by the 19th of this month for around $320.
