Brit scientists will spend $2 million to see a Robot stir soup
What would it take you and a few friends to prove that a robot can stir soup and treat the other cooks in the kitchen with etiquette? Well, I say that the moment a question like this would crop up among my ragged company (who definitely isn’t Brits), there would be nothing but jeering and mocking of the person of the person who asked it in the first place. However, some gentlemen from The Co-operative Human Robot Interaction Systems (CHRIS) that is based at the Bristol Robotics Lab (BRL) have made it their prime objective to study the reactions of a robot in a kitchen and to portray their findings to study the interactivity between robots and humans in a close working environment.
The project is in collaboration between engineers, scientists and psychologists from West of England and Bristol universities and will cost £1,000,000 ($1,956,853).
