BooM system dont go by the name as it is not some hi-fi sound system which you think can rock your neighbourhood. It is a plain and simple iPod docking system, the main unit is rather sleek and holds the amplifier unit delivering an output of 8 Watts x 2 Ch and 25 watts for the subwoofer. When connected to the main unit the iPod gets charged. The unit comes with a slim remote control using which you can perform basic iPod operations like change track, volume, play, pause etc.

The BooM system goes on sale in Japan from March 1 for 17500 Yen ($ 145).
