BMW M3 Concept launched at the Geneva Motor Show

If you think of a coupe as merely a sedan with two less doors, you need to change your thinking as it applies to BMW. This automaker unveils its next-generation M3 in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show. Like the original M5 concept, this latest M3 is virtually identical to the production model. This coupe is powered by a V8 unit. Its tuned suspension, six-speed manual transmission, carbon fiber roof and the entire exterior modifications are typical of an "M" car. This auto is supposed to have a horse power of about 425 and 450. It has utilized carbon-fiber for some of the body panels to cut unnecessary weight and lower the car's center of gravity. Wide wheel arches, together with the forged 19-inch light alloy rims in the classic Y-spoke design, emphasize the vehicle’s wide track.

Expected to hit the showrooms by 2008, the convertible variant will follow. However the exact pricing is still indefinite.
