The new-age credit card is about arrive soon, but the only hitch is that it's not like your regular CC. It will take the form of your BMW car key. Apparently the company is working on a system that will allow your multifunctional car key to make payments for your purchases. Technology using a security chip, communicates with a card reader via radio that is inserted into an electronic key device giving the keys the ability to access your vehicle and tender cashless payments. The key along with it's connection to a computer will allow you to access personal data such as subscriptions to services, address books or favorite radio stations from inside your own BMW, or any BMW hire car. My only worry is what will happen if the key is lost! Mayhem, I guess!
