bCODE has surely got something up its socks now, with Screenvision and Sprint backing it. bCODE will help us with a SMS based secure scanning mobile wallet platform. The marketing part of the deal will be handled by Sprint. This means that it will make its way through to Sprint customers, who will receive special concession stand savings with the mobile via mobile couponing in 500 movie theatres that fall under Screenvision’s domain. All you have to do if you’re a Sprint customer is to text “Sprint” to “22633”. By the beginning of next year, the bCODE service will be available in more that 900 theatres. This service is already being made available in over 50 DMAs across the country. These include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Houston and Dallas.
