Bang & Olufsen Medicom offers a Helping Hand

A new innovative concept idea that could help people by very simple means to take tablets in a better way! The goal is to make a very discrete and non-intrusive product that would be perceived as a daily life product. Danish gadget company, Bang & Olufsen’s medical devices division, known as Medicom has just released a new device to help patients make sure they're on track for taking medication. The "Helping Hand" is a unique product that reminds a patient when to take their medication/tablets. The aim behind the device is to motivate and guide the patient to aim for and maintain a high compliance rate with their prescribed medication. In addition the device can be used by physicians to help motivate their patients to continue taking their complete course of medication. The patient receives feedback via a visual signal (red, yellow or green).
Bang & Olufsen Medicom has focused on the 3 key features "protect, remind, guide" for this product. Bang & Olufsen Medicom, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bang & Olufsen; designs, manufactures and co-markets intelligent device solutions that empower patients to manage more effectively their drug treatment regimes.
