Avago's all-in-one integrates joystick, mouse and navigation pad
![]()
Avago Technologies has launched an input device module called 'AMRS-2325 series' in Korea. The device merges a navigation pad module with a motion sensor and interface integrated circuit (IC), AMRI-1000 (an integrated circuit (IC) used in the AMRS-2325), to provide a mouse-like pointing solution. It functions with a variety of handheld and gaming devices, computer peripherals, and remote controls for set-top box and multi-media PC applications. This new input device module enhances the traditional linear navigation experience. It provides easy navigation of long email and song lists, and directional cursor movement in gaming applications.
The AMRS-2325 input device solution with the AMRI-1000 IC offers flexibility; the user can select joystick mode for a gaming application, scrollwheel mode for phonebook or MP3 list scrolling, and 4-way switch mode for menu navigation. Pricing is not known at the moment.

That thing looks like a rebranded/redesigned Logitech Harmony remote control. The top section of it has the same side buttons and top buttons, while the screen shows the same interface I have on my Harmony remote.
Some of the buttons near the bottom look like they are from the Harmony as well, but the rest of it (such as the joystick) looks different.
