It’s the season to be Jolly fa la la….! It certainly seems that way for AT&T customers looking to switch handsets to either a new BlackBerry device or simply switch manufacturers in favor of RIM. AT&T has decreed that from today, December 04th 2009, their customers will be able to avail of a very special half-off offer on new BlackBerry handsets. The specific handset in question include the brand new Bold 9700, and the Bold 9000 as well as other devices like the Curve 8900, 8320, 8520 and 8310. Of course this is only valid after a mail-in rebate and signing up for a two-year agreement.

While RIM is taking center stage at AT&T right now other manufacturers like Samsung are also around with their Samsung Solstice touchscreen device that’s also available for free, no less, after a mail-in rebate and two two-year agreement. The handsets will be available online and in AT&T retail outlets but only for a very limited time.
