Asus XG Station

There’s good news for all those notebook owners who are gaming addicts seeking high quality graphics. The Asus XG Station promises to provide with some rather stunning graphical enhancements to your laptops, externally. The company however will not sell this as a separate external graphic booster but instead it will bundle it with the ASUS PCIe graphics cards. The XG Station will provide a PCIe x16 slot for additional graphical processing capabilities by using the ExpressCard in notebooks. The compatibility of the Asus XG card was demonstrated at CES with the EN7900GS graphics card. It also provides with audio enhancements such as 5.1 output, Dolby Headphone technology and simulated six-channel surround sound audio. Other features that the XG can boast about include a LED display that shows System master volume, GPU clock speed, Current GPU temperature Dolby Headphone feature status, GPU fan speed Indicator and Current actual Frames per Second (FPS) information. We also have a control knob, this helps in the overlocking functionality.
The price of the Asus XG Station is not known; however it will surely cost more than the Asus graphic cards themselves. They should be made available by next month.
