Asus has announced the world's first leather laptop, it's lid and palm rest are made from real cowhide leather. The really neat feature is that every individual S6 laptop will be unique, as the leather is hand-pressed with a unique texture and applied to the laptop. The S6 will have a 11.1-inch WXGA/glare type Colour Shine LCD screen which also incorporates ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology - a unique ASUS technology which carefully evaluates every pixel in every frame and dynamically adjusts them according to conditions most favorable to the human eye. Specs include Intel Dual Core Centrino CPU, Intel 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN, 100GB HDD storage and a Slim DVD (Super Multi type).

The Asus S6 leather laptop will be available from mid-April in a variety of colors including a special edition bright pink version.
