The Asus Eee 1000 finally gets official at Computex (Taiwan). The 10" Asus Eee 1000 and 1000(H) will be available soon. Notably, the screen size and resolution are better, but the keyboard is larger as well. Asus says that the Eee 1000 keyboard is 92% the size of an average laptop keyboard. You have a choice of Windows or Linux and the battery life will be better than original Eee, Asus claims up to 8 hours. Apparently more colors and design will be available. Specs include 8.9 to 10" displays; Flash drive (SSD), Windows or Linux and 1.3MP webcam.
