Recently we heard some news about this Willy Wonka style chocolate fountain to be the world’s biggest. Now some chefs got together and created a Formula One racing car on 22 different types of bread. The Culinary Executive Chef from the Royal Plaza On Scotts in Singapore led a team of six chefs, two artists, two technicians, two culinary staff members and five young volunteers from Metta Welfare Association and created this mega car on bread which they called ‘Asia's Largest Race Car Made From Bread’. Imagine all that loaves. Must have been more than a thousand, it took 33 pounds of yeast, 14 liters of water, 4.4 pounds of salt and around three gallons of varnish. Wonder who would have eaten up the car – or would it have been? Else, imagine the waste of food just to create something for the world? Maybe they haven’t seen enough pictures on the world’s poverty stricken lands where children are lucky if they get a bite to eat in a week.
