Apple launches 1GB iPod Nano and cuts iPod Shuffle prices

Apple has announced a new addition to it's Nano family the 1GB Nano. It is priced at $ 149, and will give other companies a run for their money. It has the same features like it's 2GB and 4GB siblings and can hold upto 240 songs or 15000 photos. It seamlessly integrates with iTunes music store and iTunes jukebox. It connects via USB 2.0 to Windows and MAC computers. “Now everyone can afford an iPod nano, with our new 1GB model starting at just $149,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Vice President of worldwide iPod Product Marketing. The 1GB iPod will be available in both Black and White and is already available at stores.


The 1GB iPod Nano will be bundled with earbud headphones, carrying case, USB 2.0 cable and CD with iTunes for PC and MAC. Apple has also cut the iPod Shuffle prices by $ 30. The 512MB model now sells for $69 and the 1GB shuffle is now priced at $99.
