Apple Flash Based Notebook rumors for next month's Macworld heats-up

Apple_flash_laptop.jpg The banter is just not stopping and the rumor is steaming! We all are awaiting the annual Macworld meet scheduled for next month and hoping the air will clear regarding the Flash-based notebook. A "super-slim laptop that uses chip-based flash memory in place of a spinning hard drive." In what has been described as the "gutsiest move since the iPod Nano", people are anticipating that Steve Jobs will take the plunge and give the people what they want… an ultra-light "FlashBook". The only thing that could hold back Jobs will be the cost of the lappie. We all know that flash based laptops will cost a bomb thanks to the technology involved. As it is, the MacBook Pro, Apple's professional laptop, starts at $2,000 with a 120-gigabyte hard drive. Models with the flash drive option can easily cost $900 to $1,300 more, with a third of the storage space.

Like they say; there is no smoke without a fire, so we will simply have to wait till next month to see if we are getting a new Apple Flash-based Notebook.
