Apple has been dominating headlines recently, with the spotlight being turned onto the American technology manufacturer time and again. The company has now announced yet another milestone – the sale of 25 billion songs from the iTunes Store. The Apple Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, also mentioned the fact that the Apple iTunes Store had 15,000 songs being downloaded every minute!

And that’s not all. Apple celebrated its 25th billion song download by gifting a €10,000 iTunes Gift Card to iTunes user Phillip Lüpke, the lucky German who downloaded the milestone song. A joyous Eddy articulated, “We are grateful to our users whose passion for music over the past 10 years has made iTunes the number one music retailer in the world.”
