Americans send 4 billion texts per day

cellphone.jpg Contrary to the economy the mobile market is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact it continues to grow at an exponential rate. According to the Semi-Annual wireless survey by CTIA, 276 million consumers now use wireless devices, up from 262 million in 2008, and use a total of over 1 trillion minutes. Two years ago over a billion text messages were sent per day the number has now quadrupled to 4 billion messages per day. Over 740 billion texts have been sent in the first half of the year alone contributing $76 billion in total wireless revenue.
