Aerotel Medical Systems an Israel based company has introduced two new wireless tracking systems. Starting with the Geokepper (pictured on the right) is a personal safety phone embedded with a quad-band GSM/GPRS module, built-in speakerphone and active GPS receiver. It is ideal for children, seniors and lone workers as when the wearer gets lost, the Geokeeper's geofencing feature provides accurate location of the user. When the wearer wanders outside a specified zone (e.g. neighborhood or school area), the system can send a short message (SMS) alert to a monitoring center and/or to a relative or caregiver. The SKeeper is a striped down version of its sibling and provides everything except the geofencing feature. It does feature two-way voice calls and text messages with an advanced alerting system for enhanced personal security. The devices will be showcased next week at the 3GSM Conference in Barcelona.
