Acne Cream Vending Machine in Japan is a Waste of Space

proactiv-solution-vending-machine-yokohama-2.jpg The Japanese are known for their modesty and shame, so whoever thought that placing an acne cream vending machine in a busy, central Yokohama shopping mall was a good idea needs some lessons in marketing and business. Proactiv Solutions’ acne cream vending machine looks fantastic. With a touch screen menu, clean lines of acne products and images of shiny, clear-faced beauties smiling radiantly out at you, the vending machine really is high class. But seriously, no spotty faced teen is going to risk the shame of standing in the centre of a shopping mall and taking the time to select and purchase their zit cream, which is probably why this machine stands lonely. Aside from this, products can only be purchased by credit card. There is no mobile integration or even cash facility, which tend to be favored by the Japanese public – zitty or otherwise. This is a big business boob, if you ask me.

Whether Proactiv Solutions’ acne cream works or not, is unknown.
