Sounds like you guys, believe that AMD x86_64 (along with all the rest 64 bit) processors were created specificly to suit 64-bit bit version of supa-cool OS windows vista!
Open you eyes my friends. All the "alternative" OS'es go along with x86_64 architecture just fine for more that 3 years now... And only MS is lagging behind working hard on adding more bells and whistles to its product.
Just recently saw some dude, refusing to buy some laptop in compUSA, because it had only MS office 2003 installed, which is "3 years old" and he wanted the most recent version, which obviously has to be 2006.
Now I understand where all those idiots come from - they get all their knowlege at this resource.
