A device to control video games use by kids
This would have been a perfect device for my parents if this was invented 20 years ago. This device costs only $30 and can be used to set time on how many minutes or hours a video game can be played by kids. An excellent tool for parents to stop the ongoing argument! I remember arguing with my folks for hours for playing just one hour. Looks like this is going end soon. Morrissey, 79 years old, is the inventor for this device. It seems there is a great demand for his inexpensive but highly reliable video game timer. And why wouldn’t there be a demand! Morrissey isn't the first entrepreneur to try to capitalize on parents' desire to curb screen time.
Already, about half a dozen similar game timer units are sold online, and Microsoft includes one in its Xbox 360 video game console. None has generated much publicity. Well this device is made in a factory in China and Morrissey hopes to get back atleast the $12,000 - $13,000 he had spent on the consultants. Somehow I feel he is just trying to be humble. With 88 million consoles in the US alone, just a small fraction of it would make him a millionaire and I bet there are several moms in the country who would love to get their hands on one of these.
