We have more on-the-inside-info on the availability and pricing for BlackBerry’s PlayBook, from Office Depot where the 7-inch tablet will be available for $499.99 and in “week 17” which means around the last week of April. The PlayBook will have 16 GB, wifi and is capable of 3G speeds when connected to a Blackberry phone. The pricing is competitive with Apple’s iPad, but RIM will need to get the PlayBook out as soon as it can before Apple’s iPad 2 (or iPad3) hits the market, to ensure a fair market share. Whether it then keeps that market share, time will tell!
