One of the major disadvantages of the iPhone is that when you use the keyboard, inevitable you end up keying the wrong button. There is no surefire way knowing that you are pressing the correct button. This has prompted some researchers to come up with a virtual button that will imitate the vibrations felt when one uses an actually key. Apparently the user will be able to feel the edges of each key and will be able to identify...

I'm not such a beer person, maybe a Shandy once in a while, but for those who don't mind gazing at pictures of beer and getting their kick, iBeer is for you. iBeer brings beer to the iPhone 3G. The profunctionary burping and fizzing noises are there plus it even simulates beer being poured. iBeer claims to offer users the opportunity to "brew and drink beer on your iPhone and iPod Touch." So now you can tilt and guzzle...

After doing the dissection it has been concluded that the 3G iPhone totals only to $174.33 as manufacturing costs. This figure is much lesser than what it cost to build the original iPhone. This price however, does not include shipping, selling it or even software. Taking into account the $50 for licenses for patents and other intellectual property included into the price and an unsubsidized cost of $499 (presumed) for a 8GB model, Apple can profit to the tune...

Epilog's Zing laser engraver is essentially a computer printer that uses a 25W CO2 laser instead of a toner cartridge. It reproduces images on an array of surfaces, including woods and metals; the only thing is that it can't add color. In a DIY project, friends at Geek.com engraved their iPhone using the Zing, and here's how they did it:...

O2 in UK has had serious problems dealing with over-zealous iPhone fans. Their online ordering system failed this week as the strength of orders peaked 13,000 per second at points on Monday morning. The company has already sent out emails apologizing to existing iPhone users who tried to procure the advance upgrade deal earlier this week. Apparently registered iPhone owners were able to contact O2 to place an order for an upgrade, which would be fulfilled on Friday when...

According to a premature rumor there exist prototypes for iPhones with keyboards. Aimed primarily at targeting the corporate executives who are more than used to their blackberry or an HTC Touch or a Sony Ericsson X1 or a Nokia E61 and are not willing to experiment with the iPhones touch screen user interface. Well the question is largely will these iPhones ever hit the market? According to a past statement made by Steve Jobs “The only people who think...
